DESCRIPTION
This bespoke elephant pendant is a masterful fusion of cultural symbolism and traditional high-jewelry techniques, commissioned as a heartfelt birthday tribute. Designed for a client who wished to honor his partner’s deep appreciation for Indian culture, the piece centers on the elephant—a sacred symbol of wisdom, strength, and divine blessing. By choosing this motif, the client intended for the wearer to feel continuously protected and blessed.
The Art of Craftsmanship
To achieve its fluid, life-like silhouette, the piece was first meticulously carved in wax to capture an organic form that feels both modern and timeless. This wax model was then made into 18k yellow gold using the lost-wax casting method. The pendant was hand-set and hand-polished by master craftsmen, ensuring every detail reflects the light beautifully.
